It has been a rough day for Mark.
We just got to the doctors when this picture was taken and as you can see Mark wasn’t thrilled. Mark’s Neurologist did her check up and check all his reflexes. He managed to do more tests then she expected. Since Mark is only 3 they don’t expect him to sit still to check his reflexes, and have him watch one spot as she exam es his eyes. She said he looked great and this year we will NOT have to do a sleep study, so I am thrilled about that.
Mark was angry the whole time and didn’t say a word for the whole 30 minutes we were there. The Neurologist tried to get a high five out of him but it didn’t happen. She even tried to bribe him with stickers, nothing worked so we moved on to the next appointment of the day.
We got to take new pictures this year of Mark’s legs and spine. The doctor had no concern about either of those. Mark wasn’t a big fan of taking x-rays mainly because he had to lay down on a table and hold still so that wasn’t the easiest for him. However, after just 3 x-rays we were done so he was ok with that. Mark even managed to give the technician a fist bump, so he was starting to come out of his shell.
Once we were done we went to see the Orthopedic doctor. They tried to get us to change into a hospital gown but Mark wasn’t having it. The gown was a cute Looney Toons one but he wanted a John Deere one instead. They didn’t have one so when the doctor came in he was standing on the table in just a diaper.
The Orthopedic doctor didn’t have much to say. He checked Mark over and checked the mobility in his joints and legs. His only concern was that his left leg was a little to flexible in the knee but there is nothing that we can do about it.
We just gave to make sure that if he has any major pain that we call and let him know. Next year when we see him we won’t have to take x-rays unless something starts to hurt.
Luckily for us it was just like a routine appointment and we don’t have to go back for a whole year. Both Mark and I are excited about that. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
