About a month ago we noticed that Lucy, one of our family dog was quite a bit larger then she normally was.
Bruce informed me that Lucy was going to have puppies and it would only be a matter of days.
Now Lucy is 9 years old and we have had her for 8 and a half years. When we got her, her back leg had been broken and we didn’t know if she would ever be able to have puppies. After probably 5 years we were pretty sure she wasn’t ever going to have puppies.
So when Bruce told me she was going to ha e puppies I didn’t know what you think.
I was concerned that since she had broke her back leg, was she going to be able to have these puppies?
Well on the 27th of February Lucy’s water broke and it was only a matter of time before we had puppies. Unfortunately, her 1st puppy had died, so I was worried as to how things might end.
It took Lucy 4 days to deliver her 8 puppies. Unfortunately we only have 2 puppies to show for it. There were 4 live puppies but for reasons that we don’t know 2 of them died.
The labor and delivery took its toll on Lucy and it took her a few days to bouncy back.
The kids have fallen in love.
Meet Jack (a boy).
Meet Eli (a girl).
Lucy is a good mom but is very happy to hear the front door open so she can go take a break.
